Pra quem (como eu) aprecia o capricho e criatividade nas coisas, tomar um cafezinho em uma das milhares cafeterias espalhadas no centro de Melbourne é um prazer. O café é expresso e com a espuma do leite fervido eles fazem estes desenhos que são um charme!!
Meninas, meninas... dá gosto acompanhar o futebol australiano, viu? o jogo é rápido, tem regra simples e muitos gols (nunca é zero a zero). Os jogadores? ah os jogadores...são maravilhosos!!! o uniforme deles é uma camiseta cavada, mais ajustada no corpo e eles mostram estes braços musculosos e usam shorts mais curtos e justos do que nossos jogadores brasileiros. Agora estamos na final do campeonato anual, eu torço pro time do Pat (collingwood) e assisto todos os jogos:) It's fun!!!!!!!!! Eu já tinha comentado aqui sobre o futebol australiano. Agora olha só alguns dos jogadores (nuh!!):
Just want to say that the australian footy players are hot, Oh my god, they are hot! I am not a sport person but now is the footy season and I do wacth the games with Pat as I'm supporting his time (collingwood), what is doing well this season, thanks!. The aussie footy is fast, with a lots of gols in each game, the rules are simple and the players are more then gorgeous. In the 3 years that I've lived in US, baseball has never ever catched my attention, the game is too long, I never tried to understand the rules and the players are monsters, they are huge guys and not atractive to me at all, sorry US!!
Fim de semana foi gelado aqui:( um vento frio, forte e insistente; temperatura baixa, nevando nas montanhas e enchente em algumas partes do estado onde moro e outras partes da Austrália com muita destruição de casas e gente desabrigada. E pensar que estamos a 6 dias do verão, oficialmente, começar. Que venha o calorzão!!
It has been cold here:( this past weekend was freezing, strong wind, low temperature, snowing in the mountains and flooding in same parts of Victoria (the state where I live) and in Gold Coast, forcing a lot of people evacuate from their area. And summer is about to start, officiality in 6 days. Can't wait for the heat:)
Adorei a pop art e o humor da pintura deste artista e comprei duas destas gravuras para emoldurar e colocar no banheiro social aqui de casa. Encontrei perambulando pela feira de artesanato de St. Kilda, domingo passado:)
I loved the art pop and humor in theses paints above. I've found it last weekend, in a trade craft art, and I've bought two of them, still have to frame it and hang in the bathroom:) Love it:)
Quando eu li este nome "werribee open range zoo" e acessei as informações sobre o lugar achei que valeria a pena ir conhecer um zoológico que tem cara de uma savanna, os animais ficam soltos e a gente faz um tour de 1h onibus, quem fica preso é a gente. Eu que nunca tinha visto girafa, zebra, rinoceronte nem hipopótomo, achei bacana:)
Além do tour de onibus, existem duas trilhas que nos levaram a ver outros animais e no percurso de uma destas trilhas foi construído uma vila bem estilo áfrico e lá tinha um grupo de africanos tocando percursão; grupo bem animado com suas roupas coloridérrimas. Um dos bangalos da vila é um escritório onde vc tem informações de custo caso queira alugar o lugar para uma festa.
Existe, também, um restaurante enooooorme, modernérrimo, com ar condicionado, tv e garçonetes com rosto pintado de onça:) Uma loja que vende lembrancinhas do lugar como camisetas, bonés, bichos de pelúcia etc. E um hotel 4 estrelas, estilo contemporaneo, um luxo só.
Na minha opinião, eu acho que este tipo de passeio é legal para crianças, elas vão lá e se esbaldam vendo os animais e nem percebem esta coisa comercial tão pretensiosa e gritante.
When I first heard about "Werribee Open Range Zoo" I tought would be cool to check it out. It is like a savannah, the animals are free on the wild and we get in to a bus tour for about 1h, to get close to them. There is also two tracks that we walk through it and see another animals. Among one of these tracks, was built a village in africa style and the best thing to see, was a group of africans playing percursion, they seem very happy and had colourful clothes on. It was really cool watching them:) It was the first time I saw a giraffa, a zebra, a rinoceront and a hipo. I loved the zebra:) The Open Range also has a huge and very modern restaurant, where the waitress have they face painted as a leopard. There is a suvennir shopp and a 4 star hotel. I think this is a very good thing to do with kids, they go crazy with the animals and they can't even notice the commercial side of the place:)
Eu imaginava que esqui fosse um dos esportes difíceis demais e muito além do meu limite, eu imaginava que naquele frião, ficar lá tentando equilibrar naquela coisa fosse muito complicado e nem tão divertido. Ainda bem que eu "paguei pra ver" e me surpreendi, fiz duas horas de aula (2 primeiras fotos) e já fui lá pro topo da montanha e descia esquiando, gente..é muito divertido!! muito legal!! e o frio?? se eu disser que eu estava suando naquela roupa vocês acreditariam?? Aqui em Melbourne não neva mas nas montanhas próximas sim e existem várias ópções de estações para esquiar. Fomos e voltamos no mesmo dia:) foi muito legal!!!!!!!!!
For the first time I went to ski, it was awesome!!!!!!!!!!! I've taken 2h class and that was enough for em to go to the top of the Mountain and ski all the way down many times. I trully loved it!!!!!!!!!! This moutain is located 3h far from home, there is other options of ski resort even closer to home, we went just for the day and came back. The next day I had a really bad sore body, I'm not used to exercise:( Robert, I wonder how much you pay for the lift when you go ski in vermont?? here is $100 dollars for each person:(
Fantástico!!!! ontem fui assistir o musical "priscilla rainha do deserto", como no filme, trata-se do universo gay, é sobre a discriminação, a intolerância e o amor; é muuuuuito engraçado, é tocante e envolvente. os figurinos são super extravagantes, criativos e coloridérrimos com níveis e tons de cores fuorescentes e escandalosas. Ma-ra-vi-lho-so!!!! as músicas são excelentes, bem gays mesmo, e certamente vocês conhecem todas!! rs... Os 3:30min de vídeo abaixo mostra parte do musical que durou duas horas, fabuloso!!!!
Yesterday I went to watch the musical "Priscilla the queen of the desert" it was fantastic!! I loved it:) just like the movie, it is all about discrimination, intolerance and love. It is veeeeeery funny, it is touching, creative, entertaining and the extravaganza of costumes in all its colorful levels was amazing. The music and songs were all so gay you would know all of it:) I've had a lots of fun!!! it is worth to watch the vídeo and then you'll understand better why I enjoyed it so much:)
Um dos lugares que sempre tive curiosidade de visitar era o santuário de William Rickett, Localizado nas montanhas de Dandenong, a 1h de Melbourne. Ir até as montanhas em si já é um passeio bacana com suas estreitas ruas cobertas pelas copas das árvores e com vários vilarejos (meu preferido chama-se Olinda) com pousadas, lojinhas, cafeterias e de quebra uma vista maravilhosa da mata fechada e da cidade lá em baixo:) O santuário é algo que eu poderia descrever como uma galeria de esculturas ao ar livre, são 92 esculturas em cerâmica, de aborigenes e animais, espalhadas pelo parque que parecem sair de dentro da natureza, parecem brotar das árvores, das pedras é algo ímpar e que eu prometo levar lá quem vier me visitar, rs... 
William Rickett foi o escultor quem comprou o terreno e criou este lugar que ele costumava chamar de "sagrado, secreto, silencioso". Ele dedicou a vida dele a tribos aborígenes, aos animais e a natureza. Pelo que passei a conhecer sobre ele me deu a impressão de ter sido uma pessoa de valores bem místicos e com um talento incrível.

"Sacred - Secret - Silent" is how william rickett used to call this place, a sanctuary created by him in the dandenong mountains, 1h from melbourne. Going to the mountain is already a very nice escape, finding this sanctuary was a bonus!! there is 92 ceramic sculptures in the park among the rocks, trees and watch out your steps...the sculptures are everywhere:) This guy lived his whole life in aborigines tribes and he dedicated his life to them and to the wild life. For me seems like he had very strong mistical values and a big talent. Come to visit me and I'll take you there:) I've taken these photos from my mobile phone because I forgot to take my camera with me and I was happily surprised that they didn't come out so bad...I Hope you enjoy it:)
