Os jardins da minha vizinhança estão mudando completamente com a falta de chuva e a severa restrição no uso da água. O jeito é trocar a grama verde por pedras, grama sintética e plantas nativas. Estas duas fotos de casa com grama são sintéticas/artificiais. Well....a gente tem que se ajustar ao clima e à lei, né? Aqui em casa ainda não modificamos, mas teremos que fazer o mesmo muito em breve. Depois desse verão, ridicularmente quente e seco, a grama morreu quase toda. Eu até acho bonito o jardim com pedras e sem falar que a manutenção é bem mais prática, quase que inexistente:)
Desde que Amie faleceu eu não vinha aqui, ela era minha companheira de caminhadas. Ao redor de casa é bem agradável para se caminhar, eu devia aproveitar mais isso...I will:) Hoje foi a primeira vez que encarei fazer um percurso de 20min. Ô peleja! O pior gente é que neste estágio da gravidez a vontade de ir no banheiro é a cada 5min, difícilllllllllllllllllllllll...
Today I've decided to go for a walk, since Amie passed way I haven't been to the lake side of where I live. It is just one block from home (2 min), it is pretty and very nice to walk around, I should do it more often, I will(?)...Have a look at the first lot of pics, it is my neighborhood and in their front yard there is no grass anymore, actually, there is, but it is sintetic grass.
Even that everybody has a water tank in they back yard, it is still hard to maintain the garden looking nice because of the drought, tough water restriction and dry/hot weather:( so for sure that's why people have been changing their front yards. I still think it looks nice but green grass is much prettier. We probably will be doing the same for our home, just have to choose some native plants and some rocks. The good thing is that we won't have much to take care of:)

Polly, yes, you should walk more often around your neighborhood. And I think you will. Once the baby is here it my be the only way how to get the baby asleep or how not to be bored when it get bigger. I know all this from my sister. :) Lovely pictures.
Caraca Polly olha as contradições desse mundão. Aqui em Sabará ta chovendo pa daná. Aliás, no Brasil quase todo ta chovendo muito. Algumas regiões estão sofrendo com enchentes. E ai essa seca miserável. Passamos pela semana d´água e pra falar a verdade só vejo falar em preservação nos jornais e internet. As pessoas comuns nem tomam conhecimento do problema da escasses. Não há a menor concientização. Apesar de termos, de certa forma, água a vontade o esgoto aqui é jogado no rio local. O rio sabará sofre com os próprios moradores e ninguém tá nem ai pro rio. Nós deveriamos levá-los pra passar uns tempos por ai. Quem sabe haveria uma mudança no pensamento.

Eu gosto bastante da idéia das pedrinhas, mas acho que depois da chuva de hoje vai começar a brotar matinho nelas! hehehe
