Fraser Island II

Ficamos 3 dias e 2 noites em Fraser Island. No primeiro dia dirigimos toda a costa leste da ilha até Indian Heads, que é belíssimo!



Foi nessa parte da ilha que vi muita gente com os carros atolados na areia. Uma das maiores diversões de 4x4 é atolar, rs... daí vem alguém, num outro 4x4, e desatola o carro. Conheci um grupo de brasileiros lá que estavam com um jeep que foi alugado e vem com todo equipamento para acampar e eles disseram que receberam uma instrução básica por não terem experiência com 4x4. Então, pra quem não tem um jeep, existe a opção de alugar um:)

Na ilha mesmo se tem acesso a mapas das várias opções de trilhas e, uma vez que escolhida, é só adentrar pela floresta. Reparem nas fotos abaixo a mudança de cenário da vegetação, a paisagem vai mudando numa mesma trilha. Nestas trilhas geralmente tem lagos e riachos, me lembro de um que era cheio de tartarugas, é só a gente bater palmas e vem aquela "galera" de tartarugas (qual é mesmo o coletivo de tartarugas?), rs... muito lindo.

























As trilhas são longas, o acesso aos lagos são caminhando, este aí da foto, foi uma caminhada de 2,5km (ida e volta) de onde deixamos o carro. Vale a pena demais!!! a única infra estrutura que existe pelas trilhas são os banheiros públicos (super bem cuidados), portanto, temos que levar lanche e água. Ainda mais eu grávida, rs...fui toda precavida:) No final do dia eu estava sempre exausta mas feliz pela experiência!

FRASER ISLAND II: The first day we drove from the bottom to the top of the east side of the island. Very nice experience driving on the beach. We went to the Indian Heads what is gorgeous (see the first pics). I saw many cars getting stuck, and this is what is fun about 4 wheel drive, get stuck!!! and then someone comes and help. It didn't happen to us, not even once:( I met a group of brazilians there, and they told me that they hired a jeep with all the equipment for camping and also were instructed for the basic things in how to operate a 4WD. They were not experienced with it. So, you don't have to have a 4WD, you can just hire one outside the island:)
We've got the map of the tracks and we choose one that would take us to see couple of lakes and creeks. To get in to this lake in the last pic, we had to walk 2,5km (roundtrip), from where we've park the car. The pic of the lake I've taken from the lookout. The tracks are pretty long and we have to take food and drinks with us, there are toilets in some areas of the tracks(very nice and clean). I absolutely loved and enjoyed the changes in the cenario when we were driving(see pics). Sometimes we were deep in to the rainforest and then it changes completely. I remember one lake was full of turtles, I just had to clap and they all come to me. Gorgeous!! I never feed any wild animal. In the end of the day I was exausted, but very happy and excited to be there:)
