Achei foi graça de uma amiga minha, brasileira, dizer que advertiu o noivo, australiano, que explicasse para a família e amigos dele, que estavam indo para o Brasil (30 deles, ao todo), que lá é falta de educação arrotar alto na mesa, hahahhahahhah...sim, tanto arrotar como assoar o nariz ou lamber os dedos da mão é muito comum se ver por aqui, salvo as exceções (não é todo mundo que tem estes hábitos). Até nas propagandas de tv de restaurantes de fast food eles mostram o povo lambendo os dedos, é comum, é natural, enfim, faz parte, porém, aos meus olhos e ouvidos, estes hábitos são horrendos:(
Acho que eu nunca vou me acostumar com isso, é grotesco demais!! outra coisa que é super comum é ver o povo comendo na rua, tipo andando com um pão com salame na mão, ou um sushi várias vezes já vi gente comendo comida mesmo, naquelas vasilhas de plástico, urgh!!!!!!!! e o cheiro?? é muito comum no metrô o vagão inteiro cheirando a frango, éca!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
É algo cultural e mesmo não sendo fácil acostumar eu aceito, fazer o quê??
****I laughted when my friend, brazilian, warned her fiancé, australian, to explain his family and friends, 30 of them all together, who were going to Brazil for my friend's wedding, that over there is very rude if you burp loud at the table, hahhahaahaha...Yes, it is very commom to see here in Austrália people burping loud in public, blowing nose or licking fingers and it is extremely rude in Brazil.
If you need to burp, you got do it quietly and if you have to blow one's nose please get up and go to the toilet otherwise we can see each other another day, thanks!:) another thing that is very commom here in Austrália and you won't see as often in Brazil is people eating walking on streets, sometimes they have sandwichs, sushis and sometimes the proper food what really bothes me is when someone is eating in the train... usually it smells chicken and it is disgusting!!!!!!
I know..I know...It is a cultural matter but I'm sure I won't ever get used to it:(

Aqui nos Estados Unidos, como voce ja deve saber porque morou aqui, e' bem parecido. Nos restaurantes e lanchonetes se come os sanduiches com a mao(nao embrulhado no guardananpo como no Brasil). E tambem e' comum assoar o nariz no guardanapo do restaurante. Nao vejo pessoas comendo na rua, mas e' comum ver gente carregando refrigerante grande pelas ruas para ir tomando. LOL
aos meus ouvidos principalmente é muuuito irritante. Sabe o que mais me irrita na vida? escutar a pessoa mastigando. pode parecer ridículo mas isso realmente me tira do sério, meu estômago até dói. Na minha sala de aula as carteiras são juntas, aí ontem a minha vizinha tava comendo biscoito pimentinha. quase morri com aquele roc-roc-roc-roc-roc.

As regras basicas de educação e postura são as mesmas no mundo inteiro.
Existem mudanças de hábitos, mas grosseria e gente de quinta existem no Brasil, na Alemanha, na Africa, na Austrália, na França ou em Israel.
Arrotar e fazer essas porcarias nojentas na mesa são coisas de gente de décima quinta.
Polly, se eu fosse você, mudava de turma correndo.

In Czech Republic is also very rude to burp in public, specially at the restaurant and when you are sitting at the table.
When you blow your nose you don't have to go to the bathroom but you suppose to turn aside so you don't bother others and you say excuse me.
People eat on the train if they go long distance not in the subway. I think you are not allowed to eat there.
Well, Australia is different. You have to get used to it but I don't know if I could. ;)

After 2 years living there, I can bet my ass off, that you'd pick up the habit too. It happened to me, my brazillian friend told me, it is not OK to blow my nose off. I thought he said that just to annoy me. I did not believe him at first. But now, you are writing this in your blog. I would sure watch my manner when I am in Brazil.

Hahaha, muito engracado! Aqui nos EUA, eu nao consigo me acostumar em comer pizza, em publico, com minhas maos. Eu sempre tenho que usar garfo e faca, e o John fica fazendo gracinha dizendo que isso sim e' coisa de gringo!

Jana...I remember when I first arrived in america and I saw people blowing they nose at the restaurant and at the table, Oh my God!! That sound soooo horrible for me, I couldn't believe it and I got to use to (I guess!). About the train it really annoys me, I guess I just have to learn faster how to drive everywhere so I can stop using the public transport and avoid this situation:)
Martin, I lived in USA for 3 years and I've been here for 1 and half year, beleive me I didn't and I won't pick up the habit, it is impossible. Yeah, yeah...your friend weren't just annoying you, what out your manner when you there, hahahaha.....

Posso te dizer q/ é mesmo cultural, qdo fui a China o costume dos homens é fumar na mesa antes e depois do jantar , é insuportável. E tbm de beber até cair, o negócio é provar q/ é macho e se embriagar.. Pum e arrotos é normal em qualquer lugar, só q/ meu chefe avisou q/ isto não é aceito no Brasil, então eles seguram. E os sorrisos cariados, é insuportável, nojento pq eles não tratam dos dentes, são pretos,podres!!
